Congratulations on your decision to be a UMFK Bengal! You made a great choice and we want to ensure your smooth transition to UMFK.

We are currently busy planning for Fall Orientation. Please check back after July 1st to view the orientation schedule for August 26, 2022.

Register to Attend Fall 2022 Student Orientation

Distance Education Students (100% Online Programs):

  • Students enrolled in an online program only are required to complete a pre-orientation module on BrightSpace prior to Orientation. An email with more details will be sent to students in these programs by the Assistant Director of Distance Education.

International Students:

  • Orientation Process For International Students Without F-1 Status International students who are enrolled in 100% online programs are required to complete the Distance Education Pre-Orientation Module.
  • Orientation Process for International Students With F-1 Status: International students who are enrolled with F-1 status are required to attend the full Orientation on August 26, 2022, in order to complete their registration in SEVIS. Your SEVIS record will not be marked active if you do not attend the mandatory orientation sessions. If you cannot attend orientation, students must email umfk.iss@maine.edu before August 19th to request permission to make other arrangements.

  • 8:30 AM - 9:00 AM: Registration, Continental Breakfast in the Lair
  • 9:00 AM - 9:15 AM: Meet your Orientation Leader
  • 9:15 AM - 9:30 AM: Welcome Session
  • 9:30 AM - 10:30 AM: Students Meet with Division / Academic Program
  • 9:30 AM - 10:30 AM: Parent / Guardians: Family Session
  • 10:30 AM - 10:55 AM: Break / Family Farewell
  • 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM: Campus Safety (Green group)
  • 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM: Lunch (Gold Group)
  • 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM: Lunch (Green Group)
  • 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM: Campus Safety (Gold Group)
  • 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM: Student Success (Green Group)
  • 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM: Connecting to UMFK (Gold Group)
  • 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM: Student Success (Gold Group)
  • 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM: Connecting to UMFK (Green Group)
  • 3:00 PM - 3:30 PM: Break: Games / snack / outdoor photo
  • 3:30 PM - 4:30 PM: Convocation
  • 5:00 PM - 6:30 PM: Dinner
