The University of Maine at Fort Kent Student Nurses Organization will host its annual community health and wellness fair on Wednesday, April 12, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the UMFK Sports Center.
The theme of the fair is to promote health and wellness within the community, starting with the youth.
This year the fair will include booths represented by Ambulance Service, Inc., Fort Kent Police Department, Fort Kent Fire Department, UMFK nursing students teaching about healthy eating, exercising, hand washing, and much more!
“The spring health fair is a fun way to interact with the kids, and educate them at the same time,” said Tricia Sherman, UMFK Student Nurses Organization president.
In planning the health fair, student nurses are still looking for chiropractors, yoga instructors, bicyclists, therapists, nutritionist, dentists, optometrist, fitness clubs, health care services, etc.
If you are interested in participating in the fair, please contact Tricia Sherman at 207-416-5161 or tricia.sherman@maine.edu by April 11th.
