UMFK Foundation presents its fall performance by the Ghost of Paul Revere

Maine’s holler-folk band, the Ghost of Paul Revere, will perform at the University of Maine Foundation fall 2016 event for the community on Sunday, October 16, at 2 p.m. at the University’s Fox Auditorium.

The group was formed around childhood friends Max Davis, Sean McCarthy, and Griffin Sherry. They put the Ghost of Paul Revere together in 2011 with Matt Young. They use a masterful combination of melody and energy, somewhere between folk and foot-stomping bluegrass.

Their critically acclaimed debut EP, North, released in the summer of 2012, quickly became one of the best-selling local albums in Maine and New Hampshire for 2013. Their first full length album, Believe, was recorded live with Jonathan Wyman at Halo Studios. When released in January 2014, the album quickly went on to hit the Billboard Northeast chart. It was the best-selling local album in Maine and New Hampshire for 10 months straight and continues to be in the top five more than a year later.

Their live shows have gained the reputation of being some of the best in the northeast.

All proceeds go to the UMFK Foundation which supports endowed scholarships, student and faculty research, state-of-the-art technology upgrades, cultural events, library collections, and other campus projects not budgeted for in the University's annual operating budget.
