Spoken Word Artist Neil Hilborn to present on the UMFK campus

photo of poet Neil HilbornThe University of Maine at Fort Kent Student Activities will host poet Neil Hilborn on Friday, October 21 in Fox Auditorium at 7 p.m.  The event is free and open to the public.

Hilborn is a college national poetry slam champion and a graduate from Macalster College, a private liberal arts college in St. Paul, Minnesota.

Poet Neil Hilborn tells his story about his life and struggle with obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD).

In 2013 his poem "OCD" went viral, being featured on NPR, Huffington Post, Upworthy, and other news outlets. It has gathered more than 11 million views, making it the most-viewed slam poem on YouTube.
