The word of the day on Friday, October 30, is “Spooky” as the Student Association for Greater English Studies (SAGES) club members, in honor of the Halloween season, host a haunting at the University of Maine at Fort Blake Library from 10 a.m. to 12 noon. Organizers for the event encourage everyone to come dressed as a favorite character and read a spooky work. Anyone may also just come to listen to the tales and be part of the festivities.

The Student Association for Greater English Studies or SAGES is the English club at UMFK and the organization seeks to inspire in others aspirations for lifelong learning and the love of great works of literature; in reading as an active participant, and through writing about this active life; and in presenting works to others in exciting ways.

S.A.G.E.S. is hosting the "Haunt the Library," instead of their annual "Haunt the House," an October event on the UMFK campus since 2007.

Come join in the fun with S.A.G.E.S club members and the library staff in this event on October 30. Participants will enjoy treats.
