The University of Maine at Fort Kent is pleased to welcome Dr. Kaisa Holloway Cripps as an assistant professor of business, who started on January 1, 2021.

Dr. Holloway Cripps earned her doctor of management from the University of Maryland University College in 2016 and she will complete her graduate certificate in Native American Studies from Montana State University Bozeman later this year. She earned her bachelors of arts in humanities and social science from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth in 2006 and she earned her MBA from the UMass Dartmouth Charlton College of Business in 2010.

“We are thrilled to have Dr. Holloway Cripps joining the faculty at UMFK,” said UMFK President & Provost, Dr. Deb Hedeen. “Her leadership experiences will assist our business program students in preparing for their professional careers in business.”

For the past few years, Dr. Holloway Cripps has served in administrative roles such as Chief Operating Officer of the Greater New Bedford Workforce Board and as an editor with a Dow Jones local affiliate in Massachusetts. She has worked in academia for nearly a decade including positions at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, University of Maryland University College, Johnson & Wales University and Brandeis University.

Dr. Holloway Cripps has volunteered on several planning boards, or board of directors such as: Town of Fairhaven Planning Board; UMass Dartmouth Alumni board of directors; Millicent Library board of trustees; and the Fairhaven Agricultural Commission as Chair, to name a few.
