The University of Maine at Fort Kent Blake Library Gallery will have artwork by a local Fort Kent artist, Krsna-Bhava Albert, on display through Friday, March 29, 2019.

Growing up in St. John, Albert attended the University of Maine at Presque Isle and graduated with a Bachelor’s in Fine Arts. In addition, she won several awards for her artwork. Albert has had multiple shows at the UMFK Blake Library Gallery and has a long ongoing comic called “Valley Girls” printed in the Fiddlehead Focus and the St. John Valley Times news outlets.

Albert derives inspiration from a variety of literature, music, and other forms of entertainment such as movies and television shows. Some of the work in her current show are characters from some of these forms while other works come from her own imaginings.
