The University of Maine at Fort Kent Summer Theatre, now entering its eighth season, is pleased to announce open auditions for its summer 2015 production of “Julius Caesar,” by William Shakespeare.

Auditions for the classic political thriller will take place on Monday, June 22 and Tuesday, June 23 from 6 to 9 p.m. in Fox Auditorium on the UMFK campus, or by appointment.

Actors of all ages and experience levels are sought, and for those who don't care to be onstage, backstage and technical volunteers are also welcome.

“As we approach an active election season, and with all the political vitriol being thrown around, Shakespeare's suspenseful exploration of the deadly results of pride, greed, and ambition in the Roman political landscape is something we can all learn from and enjoy. Please come create some great theatre with us this summer,” says Aaron Bernstein, UMFK Summer Theatre producer.

The performances of “Julius Caesar” will be held in Fox Auditorium on Thursday, July 30 through Saturday, August 1 at 7p.m., and on Sunday, August 2 at 2 p.m.

For more information or to schedule an audition appointment outside the open auditions, please contact Aaron Bernstein at (207) 834-7893, or by e-mail at: aaronb@maine.edu
