The University of Maine at Fort Kent Athletic Department will offer a week-long, action-packed co-ed soccer camp this summer. Registration is open to all entering pre-K through grade 12.
The University of Maine at Fort Kent’s Summer Theatre, now entering its twelfth season, is pleased to announce open auditions for its summer 2019 production of “Richard III” by William Shakespeare.
The University of Maine at Fort Kent graduating seniors received their degrees at the 137th commencement exercises held at UMFK’s Sports Center on May 11th. University President Dr. John N. Short presided over the ceremony.
On Friday, May 10, 2019, one hundred thirty-four University of Maine at Fort Kent nursing students graduated from the program, with thirty-six of them attending the 35th annual UMFK Nurse Pinning Ceremony at the Fox Auditorium on the UMFK campus. In addition to UMFK’s nurse pinning ceremony, thirty-Five UMFK nursing students who were enrolled in the Partners in Nursing Education Program received their nursing pins at a ceremony that was held on May 9th at the Jewett Hall Auditorium on the University of Maine at Augusta campus.

These awards and scholarships are presented to deserving students for their contributions to campus and their academic achievements.
The University of Maine at Fort Kent is pleased to host Paul Doiron, author of the famous “Mike Bowditch” mystery series, at 7pm on June 5, 2019. Doiron, New York Times bestselling author will be a guest of the Acadian Archives acadiennes where he will be meeting fans and reading from his latest book “Almost Midnight.”
The Pleasant St. Academy Early College High School program, a collaboration between the University of Maine at Fort Kent and MSAD #27, is undergoing some significant changes. Starting in the 2019-2020 academic year the program will be renamed Valley U. In addition, course requirements for the program have been restructured.
The University of Maine at Fort Kent Blake Library Gallery is featuring the work of students in Thérèse L. Provenzano’s Art 200 Fundamentals of Art-Drawing class and Art 320 Studio Projects. The exhibition will be on display through Monday, May 6th.
The University of Maine at Fort Kent is pleased to announce that Melford Pelletier and Reynold Raymond will both be awarded Distinguished Service Awards at UMFK’s 137th commencement ceremony on May 11, 2019. This award is given to individuals who have gone above and beyond in service to UMFK.
