UMFK BOV to host Business Breakfast on April 16

The University of Maine at Fort Kent Board of Visitors is encouraging the public to attend a Business Breakfast that will take place on Tuesday, April 16th at 7:30 a.m. in the Nadeau Hall conference room on the UMFK campus.

The breakfast will feature a panel of University of Maine at Fort Kent administrators speaking to a topic titled “Transforming Students Into Professionals:  How UMFK’s New Vision and Priorities are Focused on the Workforce Needs of the Region, the State, and Beyond.”

Panelists will include Dr. John Short, President; Scott Voisine, Dean of Community Education; and Dr. Erin Soucy, Dean of Undergraduate Nursing & Interim Associate Provost.  The panelists will discuss how UMFK is positioning itself as a campus focused on healthcare sciences and professional programs.  The panel will discuss UMFK’s new vision for the future, expanded marketing and programs related to nursing, and new Rural U Workforce certificates.
