Waneta T. Blake Visiting Professor Mike James will present on the UMFK campus

The University of Maine at Fort Kent Arts and Science's English program selected Poet Mike James as the fifth Waneta T. Blake Visiting Professor. James will read excerpts from his work on Wednesday, April 15 at 7 p.m. at the UMFK's Nadeau Hall conference room. The event is free and open to the public.

Mike James has published seven poetry collections. His most recent are “Elegy in Reverse” in 2014 and “Past Due Notices: Poems 1991-2011” in 2012.

He serves as associate editor of “The Kentucky Review.” James and his wife Diane are publishers of Yellow Pepper Press. Magazines throughout the country have widely published his work.

James and his family reside in Douglasville, Georgia.
