Student Nurses Organization to host community health and wellness fair April 18

The University of Maine at Fort Kent Student Nurses Organization (SNO) will host a community health and wellness fair on Friday, April 18, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the UMFK Sports Center.

The event has been planned with a holistic health focus. The mind, body, and spirit will be attended to.

In planning the health fair, student nurses are looking for chiropractors, yoga instructors, bicyclists, therapists, nutritionist, dentists, optometrist, fitness clubs, health care services, etc.

“The fair will be filled with booths, activities, and presentations to educate attendees in the interest of leading healthier lifestyles. As future nurses it is essential that we educate others in ways of preventing health complications before they begin,” said Skyla Hamilton, UMFK nursing student.”
