The University of Maine at Fort Kent Alumni Association is looking for performers for its sixth annual talent show fundraiser scheduled to take place on Saturday, February 4, 2017 on the University’s campus.
The trustees of the Maine Higher Education Assistance Foundation (MeHEAF) are pleased to announce the awarding of a scholarship in the amount of $1,000 to Kate Roy of Fort Kent. Roy is a sophomore business management major at the University of Maine at Fort Kent, where she maintains a high grade-point average.
The University of Maine at Fort Kent Blake Library Gallery is featuring “More Than Fundamentally Speaking,” the work of students in Therese L. Provenzano’s Art 200: Fundamentals of Art-Drawing class. The exhibition will be on display through Friday, December 23.
Lise Pelletier, director of the Acadian Archives/Archives acadiennes at the University of Maine at Fort Kent, will teach a special five-week, ten hour course titled, History of Acadia and the St. John Valley, starting on January 18 and meeting every Wednesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 pm until February 15, 2017.
The University of Maine at Fort Kent will host entertainer and hypnotist Paul Ramsay on Saturday, December 3 at 7 p.m. in the UMFK Fox Auditorium. The event is free and open to the public.
The University of Maine at Fort Kent student-led organization, “Partners for International Relief, will host an informational session on the internal medical relief missions of UMFK students on Monday, November 21, 2016 in the Nadeau Hall conference room at 7 p.m.
The University of Maine at Fort Kent Student Activities Board will host comedian Steve Macone on Friday, November 4 in the Fox Auditorium at 7 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.
The University of Maine at Fort Kent Blake Library Gallery will feature “Welcome to the World of Anime!” an exhibit by the UMFK student Anime Club. The exhibit will be on display from Monday, October 31 through the end of November.
University of Maine at Fort Kent Student Activities will host poet Neil Hilborn on Friday, October 21 in Fox Auditorium at 7 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.
