The University of Maine at Fort Kent is pleased to announce a partnership with the non-profit organization Jobs for Maine’s Graduates, Inc. (JMG). This partnership will result in the new role of a JMG College Success Specialist at UMFK.
Maine’s six-time award-winning Bluegrass Band, Blistered Fingers, will perform at the University of Maine at Fort Kent Foundation fall 2017 event on Sunday, October 22, at 1 p.m. at the University’s Fox Auditorium.
Students from the University of Maine at Fort Kent’s Behavioral Science program participated in the 2017 Recovery Celebration event held at the Aroostook State Park. The purpose of the September recovery event was to celebrate the recovery process while raising awareness that people can, and do, recover.

Presented by Holocaust and Human Rights Center of Maine's (located at UMA) Executive Director Liz Helitzer, this program focuses on providing individuals with an awareness of the enormity of the crimes committed during the Nazi Holocaust, and the fact that thousands of ordinary people participated in perpetrating these crimes, while thousands more stood by as quiet witnesses.

The University of Maine at Fort Kent, Aroostook Mental Health Center (AMHC), and the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) are proud to announce that they will have a community conversation in honor of Mental Health Awareness Week at 6:30pm on October 2nd in UMFK’s Nadeau Hall.
