The University of Maine at Fort Kent honored members of its faculty and staff for their service to the University at a recent ceremony on campus. Special awards were given to employees who have been at UMFK for five, ten, twenty, twenty-five, and thirty-five years of service.
The University of Maine at Fort Kent’s Summer Theatre program, now entering its eleventh season, is pleased to announce open auditions for its Summer 2018 production of, “Mother Courage and Her Children,” by Bertolt Brecht.
On Friday, May 11th ninety-one University of Maine at Fort Kent nursing students graduated from the program, with 32 of them attending the 34th annual UMFK Nurse Pinning Ceremony at the Fox Auditorium on the UMFK campus.
The annual awards and scholarships presented to deserving undergraduate and graduating University of Maine at Fort Kent students this year took place on several occasions: UMFK’s ninth annual Scholars’ Symposium, Senior Sendoff, and Commencement.
The University of Maine at Fort Kent graduating seniors received their degrees at the 136th commencement exercises held at UMFK’s Sports Center on May 12. University President John N. Short presided over the ceremony that conferred 203 baccalaureate degrees and 29 associate degrees.
The University of Maine at Fort Kent is proud to announce that Behavioral Science student, Glenroy Osbourne, has been accepted into the elite PreLaw Undergraduate Scholars (PLUS) program at the University of Maine School of Law in Portland, Maine. The four-week summer immersion program provides students with opportunities to develop professional and leadership skills to help them in future careers.
University of Maine at Fort Kent and the TRiO Student Support Services program held their tenth annual recognition banquet on April 25th to honor students involved in the TRiO program. UMFK President Dr. John N. Short provided the welcome address.
