The UMFK Foundation and the Acadian Archives acadiennes will host a sponsorship auction to further the Archives’ mission to document, preserve, celebrate, and disseminate information about the culture and history of the Franco-American and Acadian people of the Upper St. John River Valley.
Guests will have an opportunity to bid for the sponsorship of three unique collections throughout the evening. The highest bid will win the honor of sponsoring the 1651 Charles de St-Étienne de la Tour Commission, the 1848 Upper Saint John River American Treaty Lots, or one of the newer gifts to the Archives, paintings by folk artist Gilbert O. Roy.
The $25 ticket comes with one complimentary beverage and hors d’oeuvres throughout the evening. A cash bar will be available.
Ticket sales, donations, and bids will allow the Acadian Archives acadiennes to restore and preserve the Gilbert O. Roy paintings for the St. John Valley and for generations to come.
