Apply for UMFK Scholarships

UMFK Alumni and other people committed to our University (as well as various donors from organizations and institutions) often provide UMFK with monetary donations to assist students with college expenses. Most of these scholarships have specific eligibility criteria. This application gives students the opportunity to provide additional information about themselves. This is helpful for our scholarship committee to match the scholarship requirements with eligible students.

By completing this UMFK scholarship application, you are automatically being considered for many different scholarships. If you are selected, as a recipient of a scholarship, you will be notified. Your award will appear on your UMFK Award Notification, which will be mailed to you.

Some scholarships are Need Based, and some are Non-Need Based. The Need Based scholarships require the 2022-2023 FAFSA. The Non-Need Based scholarships do not require a FAFSA. Click here for additional information on Need Based and Non-Need Based scholarships.

This application has a “Priority Filing Date” of March 1st. (This would be the March prior to the start of the Fall semester.) Students who apply after this date may also be considered but is contingent upon available funding.

Awarding Time: UMFK scholarships can be awarded at any time during an academic year.

Recommend: If you are a recipient of a UMFK award, it is recommended that you take the time to send a card of thanks and acknowledgement to the donor. Contact our Development Office (207-834-7800) for more information.

UMFK Scholarship List: To view a listing of UMFK scholarships, go to the UMFK Scholarships page. Scroll down to Scholarship Search, and under “Choose a Category”, select “UMFK scholarships”. Note: Scholarships that are “Need Based” are coded with an “F” and require a FAFSA.
