It’s FAFSA Time!

The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is the basic application to apply for and be considered for financial aid. Please be sure to add UMFK's school code 002041.

Apply Early!

Complete the 2022-23 FAFSA beginning October 1, 2021 online at: studentaid.gov. Don’t delay. This is for consideration for financial aid for the fall 2022 semester! Get it done early! Students who apply early usually get the better financial aid package.

Use the FAFSA Data Retrieval Tool!

2020 tax filers are asked to use the Data Retrieval Tool, if you are eligible to use it. You will be connected to the IRS website where you can have your 2020 income tax amounts transferred back to your FAFSA. Using Data Retrieval reduces the chances of being selected for verification.

Complete the FAFSA on Your Mobile Device!

Introducing two new ways to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA®) form: a mobile-friendly version of the studentaid.gov website and a mobile app. Available from Google Play or the Apple App Store.
